Hello all, I hope that you and yours had a safe and warm week and that
you have gotten yourself dug out from last weeks storm. We got 12" here
and Sunday shovel snow day.

Last weekend I spent Saturday at the NWS office in Wakefield Virginia
because Skywarn was activated due to the sever winter weather.
The folks at Wakefield supplied Mike and I with cots to sleep on
and a real nice full kitchen to use too. Pat packed what looked like
half a house for one night. I had my sleeping bag several bags of food
case of pepsi and oh yes two roasted chickens. Yep the whole bird.

WARC Century Club - A Cyber Club to Promote Friendly Non-Contest Activity on 30, 17, and 12 meters.

Following some interest from members of the 30M Digital Group, we have
formed the WCC (WARC Century Club), based on some of the ideas from
the Straight Key Century Club .

The goal of the WCC is to promote non-contest activity on the 30,17,
and 12M WARC bands. This virtual club is for all modes (SSB-phone,
CW, and D igital) as permitted by license class and individual country
regulations. The group issues WCC numbers and encourages the exchange
of numbers with other members during a WARC band QSO. Several awards
have been established.

Everything you could want to know about your cellphone

When I pull the cover off my cellphone there's a little FCC ID on it, as there is for most electronic devices. However, with cellphones you can actually get a whole wealth of technical info about it from that ID. Just type it in here:

http://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/

Example ID:BCGA1203

Grantee code is the first 3 characters, and the Product Code is the rest.
The first page that comes up breaks down the data per band. Most of the technical information is in the "Test Report" links. It will give you power output, EIRP calculations, power curves, antenna gain and much, much more.
